Mindfulness Walk
Walk encourages us to relax, find coping mechanisms and have fun.
National treasure Stephen Fry has even lent his voice to the Sibling Support walk. The walk is totally accessible to everyone, all year round, and is suitable for children and adults.
Located in the heart of the Norfolk Broads National Park, walkers will spend time in stunning surroundings, experiencing waterways, wildlife and mindful moments.
There are 10 different activities dotted around, each activity tackles a particular topic: coping with stress, talking about loved ones who've died, expressing our worries and so on.
The stations are fun and interactive with activities, so why not check them out yourself?

"I really hope people will get something out of taking this walk, but I have a confession to make: I got a great deal out of it myself just saying the words and imagining the hundreds, perhaps thousands, of people who might find in it some kind of solace and balm for hurt, anxious or sorrowful minds. It’s such a simple and wonderful idea."

Where is the walk?
The walk is nestled in the heart of the Norfolk Broads National Park at Salhouse Broad.
As well as the activities, Salhouse Broad offers camping, kayaking and canoeing and there is a small takeaway café and play park on site.
You can access the Broad by bus, car, foot or on a boat (you can hire a boat from nearby Wroxham). There is a train station in Salhouse, but you might find it easier to get to Norwich and take a bus or taxi.
Download the map
Before setting off for the walk you might find it helpful to print off the map guiding you to each of the activities. Each activity has intentionally been nestled away to help you explore, download the map by scrolling below so you can get the full benefit of the outing.
Some big thank you’s
This walk would not be possible without Salhouse Broad and The National Lottery Community Fund. A big thank you to FSG Signs, Becky Pratt and Stephen Fry for their support.
If you know of a good location for another walk, or you’d like to donate or fundraise for one in your area, we’d love to hear from you.
