We’re on a mission to make sure every bereaved sibling feels seen, heard and supported, will you help get us there?

If you’re an action-oriented, born leader who has an unrelenting passion to dream up great ideas and deliver them to help those most in need - you’re probably the right fit for us. If you want an extremely flexible employer, where you can make a real impact every day - we’re probably the right fit for you.

As a small charity founded in 2020 we have already achieved a significant amount. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to drive us and take us to the next stage.

Responsibilities:

The below list is indicative but not exhaustive.

  • Grow funding, in particular grants and regular giving.

  • Support in the smooth operation of the charity.

  • Act as a representative to help grow the charity.

  • Work with the trustee board to implement a strategy.

  • Future proof Sibling Support.

Qualifications, skills and experience:

As a minimum we expect:

  • A strategist who will take initiative to get results.

  • Plenty of energy and enthusiasm, someone with a go-getter attitude.

  • Willing to embrace a ‘start up’ mentality - where no two days are the same.

  • Understanding of key policies that are relevant to our work (e.g. safeguarding).

  • Excellent communication skills with a good command of written and spoken English.

  • A successful grant writer.

  • Effective organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage your own workload independently.

Additional information:

If you’re the right fit, there’s no end of opportunities here: because you’ll be creating them.

Salary by negotiation, depending on experience. The contract is initially six months, with the option to become permanent, based on reaching KPI’s. We would welcome applications from those wanting to work on a full time or part time basis.

This is a flexible role with the opportunity to work remotely, from an office, or hybrid. Extremely flexible working hours are also available.

The successful candidate will have to have an enhanced DBS Check.

We’re a very small team, with two part time staff. This is the first full time role the charity is employing for, and the successful candidate will act as a line manager.

Diversity and inclusion:

At Sibling Support, we strive to ensure our recruitment process and work environment is welcoming, allowing equal opportunities regardless of age, disability, race, ethnicity, gender identity, neurodiversity, sexual orientation, social mobility, marital status, or religion.

We are able to provide reasonable adjustments during the application process or your time in the role, if successful.

If you need any assistance with this application (including any reasonable adjustments to the process) or have any questions please email hello@siblingsupport.co.uk with the subject ‘Growth Director Job’.

How to apply:

Please apply using our application online https://www.videoask.com/f5mqwdey9 , which requires you to provide answers to two simple questions and give us your CV together with a cover letter. Applications close at 11.59pm on 26th October.

The questions you will be asked during the application process are:

1) Why should we pick you for an interview?

2) How do you see Sibling Support growing and changing under your leadership?

The answers can be as long or short as you like. We’re not judging their length, we’re interested in your thoughts.

These answers, as well as your cover letter, can either be written, audio recorded or videod. It doesn’t matter how you tell us, we just want to get a sense of who you are and how you align with the culture and values of Sibling Support.

We’re very happy to speak to you before you submit your application - email callum@siblingsupport.co.uk
